5 Must See Marvel Shows on Disney Plus in 2021
I’m a huge Marvel fan, so it’s an understatement when I say that I’ve been eagerly waiting for Disney Plus to announce its lineup for upcoming Marvel TV shows. If the success of The Mandalorian for Star Wars fans is any indication, Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to as well. So without further ado, here are the Marvel shows on Disney Plus in 2021, as well as the anticipated release dates!
- WandaVision – January 15, 2021
Wanda Maximoff (aka The Scarlett Witch) and Vision are back, this time on the small screen in WandaVision! I’ll be the first to admit that when I saw the first trailer that was released, I was skeptical because it looked a bit strange. However, after the last trailer was released, I can’t wait to see it now! WandaVision will be available to stream beginning on January 15, 2021 and it will be a total of 9 episodes.
Marvel Studios presents “WandaVision,” a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powers beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
- FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER – March 19, 2021
The ending of Avengers: Endgame gave us a bit of a teaser with regard to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. I’m ready to see them join forces!
Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. The pair, who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities – and their patience.
- LOKI – May 2021
Get ready for the God of Mischief’s return! The Loki TV series takes place AFTER the events of Avengers: Endgame so I’m wondering what he’s been been up to all this time. Mischief, I’m sure of it 🙂
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
- MS. MARVEL – Late 2021
It looks like we will be introduced to new characters in the upcoming Marvel shows on Disney Plus, including Ms. Marvel!
Ms. Marvel is a new series that introduces Kamala Khan – a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. But Kamala struggles to fit in at home and at school – that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life is easier with super powers, right?
- HAWKEYE – Late 2021
Hawkeye is back, except this time, he’s teaming up with Kim Bishop. I can’t wait!
Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from the Marvel comics, Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld.
