Move over, Blue Bayou. I may have a new favorite restaurant at the Disney Parks. It’s called Be Our Guest and it’s located in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. As you can probably tell by its name, Be Our Guest is a Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant. Where else can you feel like you’re in a castle with napkins shaped like red roses, eat the “grey stuff” and meet the Beast after dinner? And while Be Our Guest is pricey, it is worth the splurge. Here are 5 reasons to eat dinner at Be Our Guest!
Food can quickly add up at the various parks. We inevitably snack our way throughout the day, but we try to pick at least one sit down restaurant that our whole family will enjoy. Because we visit Disneyland on a regular basis, Blue Bayou near Pirates of the Caribbean is a family favorite for our sit down meal.
What’s a girl to do when there isn’t a Blue Bayou at Disney World? Dine at Be Our Guest! Because guests can start booking reservations 180 days in advance, it can be very difficult to get a reservation for dinner. Thanks to the TouringPlans Dining Reservation Finder, we were able to snag a dinner reservation less than a week before our trip. Was Be Our Guest worth it even though it’s expensive? Yes. Do I regret it? No. Would I eat dinner there again? Absolutely. Because there are 5 reasons to eat dinner at Be Our Guest.

All Ages Are Welcome
Initially, I wasn’t sure if Be Our Guest would be a kid friendly restaurant. Additionally, eating at restaurants can still be hit or miss with my preschool aged son. It turns out that I didn’t need to worry, though. The fact that Be Our Guest is located in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World says something. Everyone is welcome, from babies to adults.
The Ambiance
I felt like I had just entered a scene from the movie. Lion statues greeted us as we entered the restaurant. Inside, there are 3 separate ballrooms which are beautifully decorated, as well as stained glass depicting Belle dancing with the prince. It’s all in the details, from the paintings to the napkins that are shaped like red roses.
The Food
There are several food options available depending on your appetite. I ordered the grilled strip steak and it was fantastic. There’s also a kids menu for the younger children. For example, my son ate the Mickey meatloaf and for once, we didn’t have any leftovers 🙂
The Dessert
As soon as we saw the dessert cart, we knew we were going to order dessert. My husband and I chose the “Grey Stuff”, and our son chose the strawberry cupcake. We all agreed that our desserts were delicious 🙂
The Beast
Where else can you meet the Beast after dinner and have a photograph taken with him? While we ate dinner, the Beast occasionally made an appearance in the ballrooms. However, he’s also available for photographs in a separate room.
We had a wonderful time at the Magic Kingdom and eating dinner at Be Our Guest was a great way to end the day.
