I feel the need…..the need to post the new trailer that was just released for Top Gun: Maverick! On June 26, 2020, my favorite U.S. Navy fighter pilot will be flying back to the big screen, this time as a flight instructor. Will Maverick live up to the original Top Gun? We will have to wait until June to find out, but in the meantime, I’m here to share the new trailer with you!
NEW TRAILER FOR TOP GUN: MAVERICK
There are several movies that I’m really looking forward to seeing in 2020 and one of them is Top Gun: Maverick. I remember seeing it in the movie theater when it was first released in 1986. Maverick, Goose, and Iceman became household names and the soundtrack was just as memorable. You may even notice that I write under the name “Maverick” on my blog. That’s in honor of Top Gun, one of my favorite movies of all time. So without further ado, here’s the new trailer for Top Gun: Maverick!
So…..what do you think? Is this movie on your must see list? I think the movie looks fantastic! And the music…….brings me back to the 80s! I know that I’ll be purchasing tickets as soon as they become available!
ABOUT THE MOVIE
After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”.
Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

Can’t wait to see it.

I don’t know how I feel about this movie. Top Gun is in my top five all time favorite movies, and I have watched it countless times. Never really felt a sequel was needed.
I guess we’ll see what it’s like when it comes out.
