Did you know that the month of August is also known as Family Fun Month? To celebrate, my family received a fun package in the mail from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to celebrate the release of The Swan Princess: A Royal Wedding, which is now available to own on Digital! The movie is the tenth installment of The Swan Princess saga and in honor of its release, I’m sharing The Swan Princess movie night ideas so that you can celebrate your own family friendly movie night at home. I’m also giving away digital codes to the first nine movies in the series to one lucky winner!

The Swan Princess Movie Night Ideas: A Royal Wedding
My family and I watched The Swan Princess for the first time when it was released on Blu-ray for its 25th Anniversary! You can read all about it here, but we really enjoyed watching the movie. And now, families can also watch the tenth installment in The Swan Princess saga now that A Royal Wedding is available to own on Digital. To celebrate, my family and I received several items to participate in family-friendly activities at home inspired by Odette and her friends and I’m sharing them here. Also, don’t forget to enter the giveaway below for the chance to win the first nine movies in the series 🙂
The Swan Princess Craft Idea
My son and I had a fun time creating a family friendly craft inspired by The Swan Princess. I’m not a very crafty person but this is one of the easiest crafts I’ve ever done. Ever. I’ve listed below the materials that you and/or your child will need to make the craft, but first, you’ll need to click here to download and print the activity pages. Then, you and/or your child will just need to follow the instructions.
Other Materials You’ll Need:
It took me and my son approximately 15 minutes to make the craft, which is a win in my book. As my son likes to say “Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!”
The Swan Princess Sugar Cookies
My son and I also had fun baking Swan and Crown sugar cookies using the cookie cutters we received. Now that my son is almost 8 years old, I’m able to let him do a little bit more, like use the cookie cutters and decorate the cookies with icing. He was so proud of the cookies we baked! Not only that, but they tasted delicious and now there aren’t any cookies left. LOL!
Cooking Supplies You’ll Need:
- Swan Cookie Cutter
- Crown Cookie Cutter
- Sugar Cookie Cookie Mix (and the ingredients to bake them)
- Cookie Icing
- Baking Pan
- Sprinkles with Sugar Pearls
What I like about both of these family friendly activities – crafting and baking – is that you can either make it simple or go all out depending on your child’s interest.
About The Swan Princess: A Royal Wedding

Upon Odette’s arrival she quickly discovers that everything is not as it should be. And not everyone is WHO they should be! The evil sorceress Fang has once again cast an evil spell, lauding a plan to marry Chen herself. With the wedding quickly approaching, it is up to Mei Li’s loving brother Prince Li along with Princess Odette and the rest of her royal friends to break the curse so the real Princess Mei Li can marry Chen and live happily ever after.
