A Marvel-ous Guide to Avengers Campus: What You Need to Know
I’m an avid Marvel fan, so I have eagerly been waiting for the opening of Avengers Campus. It’s been years in the making and guests will soon be able to experience it for themselves. As a result, I’m answering some of the Frequently Asked Questions with regard to Avengers Campus.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Where is Avengers Campus located? It’s located in Disney California Adventure (DCA), which is adjacent to Disneyland Park.
- Is Disney California Adventure the same as Disneyland? No. Disneyland Resort is comprised of two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure (DCA). If you want to visit both parks in one day, you will need to purchase a park hopper ticket, which costs more than a regular park ticket.
- What is Avengers Campus replacing? It’s replacing A Bug’s Land.
- Is it worth going to Disney California Adventure? This depends on the person but for me and my family, it’s absolutely worth it. DCA has expanded over the years and not only do I love the rides (like Radiator Springs Racer and Toy Story Midway Mania), but I also love the entertainment like World of Color. Disneyland’s Halloween Party, Oogie Boogie Bash, also occurs in DCA.
- What is the opening date for Avengers Campus Disneyland? June 4, 2021!
- Can non-California residents enter the parks? Due to current restrictions, non-California residents cannot enter the Disneyland theme parks. That will all change on June 15, 2021, though. Beginning June 15, 2021, guests from other states can enter the theme parks. Woohoo!
Now on to the really fun stuff, like the rides, food, characters, and merchandise!
Avengers Campus Disneyland Rides
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
So far, two new rides have been announced. The first one, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, will be making its debut on June 4, 2021! Guests on this ride will be able to team up with Spidey and help capture Spider-Bots. Guests will not only wear 3D glasses but will also be able to “sling webs.” One very important tip for WEB SLINGERS is that in order to ride it, you will need to obtain a boarding pass by joining a virtual queue. To find out the details how to join a virtual queue, click here.
Not a lot of information has been released about the other new ride – that’s something we can all look forward to during the next phase, sometime in the future.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is also part of Avengers Campus so guests will be able to enjoy it as part of the experience, too.
Avengers Campus Characters
No surprise here – but guests will be able to see some of their favorite Super Heroes like Black Widow, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Iron Man, Loki and Groot. I’m personally looking forward to Ant-Man and the Wasp since it will be the first time they will be making an appearance at a Disney theme park. Guests will also be able to see some of the characters, like Spider-Man, perform acrobatic stunts. It looks web-tastic 🙂
Avengers Campus Food
I’ve listed all the dining options in Avengers Campus below. The one that I really can’t wait to taste test? The “Pym-ini.”
- Pym Test Kitchen: Guests will be able to order entrees and treats that they can share with others, like the “Pym-ini.”
- Pym Tasting Lab: Includes beverages like craft beers.
- Shawarma Palace: A food cart that includes a chicken shawarma wrap.
- Terran Treats: A snack food cart near Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

Shopping at Avengers Campus
I love to shop when it comes to Disney and Marvel merchandise 🙂 I can’t wait to shop at the following locations:
- WEB Suppliers: Guests can purchase merchandise like interactive Spider-Bots, backpacks, Spider-Man light goggles, a take-home spider web kit, and Funko Pop! vinyl figures.
- The Campus Supply Pod: Guests can purchase official Avengers Campus gear like hoodies, t-shirts, and headwear, as well as drinkware and other Super Hero supplies.
- The Collector’s Warehouse is located on the ground floor of the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! ride. There, guests can purchase items like comic books, Marvel DVDs, Super Hero kids’ costumes, action figures, and more.
