LEGOLAND California Rides:  LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure Submarine Ride

LEGOLAND California, a California theme park near San Diego, is constantly evolving, adding fun attractions for families. For that reason, I’ve listed it as one of the best things to do in San Diego with kids.

Younger kids will not feel left out at LEGOLAND California, especially since many of the rides are geared toward them.    You can now add the LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure Submarine Ride to the list!  It’s one of the newest LEGOLAND California rides and it doesn’t have a height restriction, which means all family members can participate.  Each submarine seats up to 12 passengers, and guests are transported underwater where they can participate in a mission.

As passengers prepare for the ride, there is a TV screen that has a countdown.  Once passengers enter a room, an animated LEGO diver provides a description of the mission as well as instructions for the mission.  After that, passengers climb down into the submarine and bench seating is available for those who want to sit down.

*The Cactus Chronicles Tip: The best view is from the area facing the inside.  The outside windows still have great views of the sea life, but not the central LEGO treasure.

There, passengers are able to view marine life such as sharks and stingrays.  The LEGOLAND California submarine ride is also an interactive experience in which guests can use touch pads when they see treasure.

One of the things that I love about LEGOLAND California are the fun photo opportunities.  After the ride is over, families can purchase a picture that was taken of them when they enter the ride.  There are also other souvenirs like LEGO sets, mugs, t-shirts, and a LEGO build-a-frame.

LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure Ride a great addition to LEGOLAND California!  The ride itself is approximately 4 minutes long, which isn’t too long for a young child’s attention span 🙂  It’s definitely worth experiencing during a visit to LEGOLAND California.
