Otherwise known as Target.
A while back, I discovered the Cartwheel app, and it’s not only saved our family a lot of money, but it’s also given us ideas for projects, etc. While I sometimes take my son with me, I usually try to take advantage of the weekends when my husband watches our son so I can roam the store in peace. Lol.
I saved a lot of money this morning during my weekly trip to Target. For example, I was able to get a huge discount on sodas (one of my vices), a monogrammed dish towel for less than $5, and toddler shorts for less than $5.
My favorite purchase, though, was a Crayola Light Up Stamper for my son. It was 50% off, and it’s normally $25. I always look up reviews online before I decide to purchase an item like this, and I saw that it it received great reviews.
Here’s a picture of some of the items I purchased. One of the reasons I went to the store to begin with was to buy Zootopia now that it out on DVD and is on sale this week at Target. You can read my review of the movie here 🙂
Even though I like roaming around the store, I’m still a creature of habit and usually end up only going to the areas of the store that interest me. I’m not an artistic person, and so far, my son hasn’t expressed much of an interest in art, either. But it’s also hotter than hot here in Tucson, and if I can find more activities that my son can do indoors, then I’m all for it.
While my son likes coloring on occasion, he’s mostly obsessed with stickers and stamps. What I liked about the Crayola set was that it’s mostly a stamp set – it comes with a drawing pad, 3 markers, a stamper, and 10 ocean themed stamps. While I was looking at the Stamper set, I started looking at the rest of the other various Crayola sets. And I was happy to see that there were other items that my son would probably enjoy, like the Mickey Mouse and Finding Dory coloring pages. All these items were located in an area of the store that I normally wouldn’t visit. But because of the cartwheel app, it gave me ideas as to more things my son can do indoors.
As for the stamper set? It was a huge hit. My son wanted to open it once I brought it home. It requires 3 AA batteries, so that the stamper can light up depending on the different colors, and my son was very excited about this. So if you are looking for ideas for a child my son’s age (3 years old), this is a good pick. And the 50% discount on the cartwheel app expires today!
