Hold up. Was that a picture of Steven Spielberg that I just posted? The Steven Spielberg? One of the best filmmakers of all time?
Wait.
For.
It.
Okay, so I wish I was the one who took that photo. But I’ll take the next best thing 😊 I recently received activity sheets and DIY bookmarks in anticipation of the release of Disney’s latest movie, The BFG.
The BFG is being released on July 1st and it’s based on a book written by Ronald Dahl (yes, the Roald Dahl, of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fame among others). To add to the mix, the screenplay was written by Melissa Mathison, who wrote the screenplays for some of my favorite movies: E.T. and The Black Stallion. Sadly, she passed away last year, and I consider her to be one of the best screenwriters of all time.
I haven’t seen The BFG yet but I’m looking forward to watching it on the big screen. In the meantime, I wanted to share the activity sheets listed below with you and your family. From coloring pages, to bookmarks, to mazes, and word searches, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And because we are a family that loves to read, I definitely want to try out the bookmarks. Just click on the links below for the different activities and you should be able print them out 🙂
And last but not least, a glossary to keep up with the lingo 🙂
Enjoy!
